I was always told coarse ground black pepper in school. “These are the times that try men's souls.” Get yourself some of the Conklin product called "Dyke". I use Irontite from NAPA for a leaking radiator in my 1066 a long time ago, still ain't leaking yet. Works perfect, but if you ever drain the radiator to put new antifreeze in, you will have to put some more in. They have to answer to Deere and did some fanagaling to satisfy you. Out of warranty means out of warranty, your dealer didn't have to install new radiator. They could have just done the right thing and replaced the factory defect without making a big fuss, Some people just do things the hard way I guess. Tech came put new rad in and saw top tub was not crimped properly. Dealer balked about it at first told him no problem I will fix myself and when i trade down the road he will not be my trading dealer. MY 7330 had a leak also just after warranty. Dealer says aluminum radiators can't be fixed. My JD 7330 developed a minor radiator leak. Posted 20:03 (#2884977) Subject: Best radiator stop leak ? Always allow the engine to cool before attempting to remove the radiator cap or any other component. Opening a coolant system can be extremely dangerous and may result in severe burns. All of these products can work very well in the short term to prevent significant engine damage caused by overheating. Never rely on these products for long-term service - its best to get the leaking part replaced rather than risk getting stranded because the seal failed or the crack expanded. While some of them may or may not seal leaks for long periods of time, they will never be an actual substitution for part replacement. Many of these products claim to offer permanent leak solutions. The BlueDevil is widely used and can be very effective for sealing cracks when an immediate visit to a mechanic's shop is not an option. Added Liqui Moly 20132 and BlueDevil 205. Its primary use is sealing head gaskets and engine blocks. Removed Irontite Ceramic because it is not meant to seal radiators. If you find yourself using multiple stop leaks without success, or if your vehicle needs repeated additive uses, your best bet is to get it fixed in order to avoid long-term damage. Also, these are, more often than not, only temporary fixes, and should be followed up with actual repair before too long. That's not to say these don't work for some people, but rather, it's very important to exercise caution and follow the directions closely. We do want to point out, though, that if you're not careful, this kind of additive could make some problems worse, by damaging other coolant system components like the water pump. There haven't been any recent advances in radiator stop leak additives, so our recommendations remain the same.
